About the Event
The WA Women’s Hall of Fame Exhibition displays portraits and information about the contributions of 2026 Inductees and the history of the Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame WA was first established in 2011 in recognition of the International Women’s Day centenary, and to acknowledge those women who have been instrumental in the development of Western Australia.
Nominations are received each year for induction into the Hall of Fame and the Roll of Honour. Nominees are considered in the categories of Community, Business, Health, Education, The Arts, Culture, STEM (Science, Technology Engineering & Mathematics) and Sport.
This year’s local inductee, Aunty Carol Pettersen is a member of the Menang–Gnudju Noongar nation, and at 84 years young, she has served for more than four decades as a Ministerial Indigenous advisor, Justice of the Peace, storyteller, land-care-activist, cultural educator and mentor. She is an exemplar of cultural wisdom, helping develop social and emotional mental health programs
