About the Event
The WA Women’s Hall of Fame Exhibition displays portraits and information about the contributions of 2026 Inductees and the history of the Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame WA was first established in 2011 in recognition of the International Women’s Day centenary, and to acknowledge those women who have been instrumental in the development of Western Australia.
Nominations are received each year for induction into the Hall of Fame and the Roll of Honour. Nominees are considered in the categories of Community, Business, Health, Education, The Arts, Culture, STEM (Science, Technology Engineering & Mathematics) and Sport.
Local Menang-Gnudju yorga, Carol Petteresen OAM JP has this year been honoured with induction for her tireless work in advocating for women’s issues, First Nations culture and community, and is a proud Ambassador of the Albany 2026 project.
