About the Event

A Night of Culture, Connection and Celebration

Experience Benang Koondarm: Tomorrow’s Dream — a joyful outdoor celebration of Noongar culture, connection and community under the stars at Albany’s Historic Whaling Station Amphitheatre on Saturday 18 April 2026.

Directed by Karla Hart Productions, this powerful event brings together Noongar dance groups, musicians and storytellers in a breathtaking corroboree on Minang boodja (Minang Country). The evening will showcase language, dance, and song that share stories of kinship, strength and belonging.

From 3:30 pm, the site will come alive with food vans, cultural market stalls, and family-friendly festival activities, creating a vibrant atmosphere leading into the main performance, which begins at 5:30 pm. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed afternoon exploring markets, tasting local flavours and connecting with community before gathering in the Amphitheatre for the evening performance beneath the southern sky.

Benang Koondarm: Tomorrow’s Dream invites audiences to honour Country, celebrate culture, and share in the spirit of tomorrow’s dream, a night of connection, celebration and community that will stay with you long after the final song.
