About the Event
The Princess Royal Fortress will come alive with the sounds of the past, as the fortress joins in on the Albany 2026 program. The resounding booms of the iconic 9-pounder gun will mark this momentous year in a truly memorable fashion.
Gun salutes will fire twice a day at 10:30am and 1:30pm sharp over the following dates:
- School Holidays
- Tuesday 7 April
- Thursday 9 April
- Tuesday 14 April
- Thursday 16 April
- Week leading to Anzac Day
- Tuesday 21 April
- Thursday 23 April
Albany’s community and visitors are invited to attend these free events and take part in this historical spectacle.
