About the Event
Imagine Songwriting Live brought original music and local storytelling to the Albany Town Hall, showcasing newly written songs inspired by Albany's landscapes, history and the personal connections people share with the region.
The one-night-only concert featured performances by Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) Music Artist students, WAAPA Albany Diploma students and members of the Imagine Songwriting community. Their collaborative works celebrated Albany through heartfelt lyrics and live performances, offering audiences fresh perspectives on the stories and places that define the region.
Supported by the City of Albany as part of the Albany 2026 program, the concert highlighted the power of music to connect people with place while acknowledging more than 200 years of Albany's history through creativity and shared experience.
