About the Event
Josephine Jay launched In the Making, a documentary sharing stories of creativity from Albany and the surrounding region. The film highlighted the experiences, skills and work of local artists, musicians, craftspeople and makers, spanning glasswork, scrimshaw, papercutting, ceramics, instrument making, carpentry and other creative practices. The sold-out launch brought audiences together with many of the featured creatives and included exhibitions of their work, along with live music performed on locally made instruments before and after the screening. Supported by the City of Albany, the event offered an engaging portrait of the region’s diverse creative community.
