About the Event
Visitors had the opportunity to step aboard the iconic STS Leeuwin II and experience one of Australia's best-known tall ships during a family-friendly open day on Albany's waterfront.
Guests explored the ship's deck, met the crew and gained an insight into life at sea, while learning about the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation's adventure-based sail training programs. The event highlighted how the Foundation has helped young people build confidence, resilience and leadership skills through hands-on sailing experiences for more than 35 years.
The open day offered a unique opportunity for locals and visitors alike to experience the spirit of adventure aboard the historic vessel and discover the impact of its youth development programs.
