About the Event

Inspired by the pop-up exhibition Cats & Dogs, this charming hands-on workshop invites creative teens and adults to craft their own seafaring companion.

Sunday 16 August 2026:

  • Workshop 3: 10:00am – 11:00am
  • Workshop 4: 12:00pm – 1:00pm

Tickets – $55 per person (13+ years)

Guided by artist Serena McLauchlan, participants will learn the basics of needle felting while creating a miniature felt cat or dog. Once complete, their furry friend will be ready to set sail, nestled inside a small boat.

Tickets include:

  • A one-hour guided felting workshop
  • A take-home felting kit (including needles and felting pillow)
  • A felt cat/dog in its miniature boat to create in the workshop
  • An additional cat/dog kit to create at home

Suitable for ages 13+, this workshop offers a relaxed and supportive introduction to textile art in a small group setting.

Please note: This workshop involves the use of fine felting needles. Participants are encouraged to work mindfully and with care throughout the session.
