About the Event
Rapture invited audiences to experience an intimate evening of dance, sculpture and sound inspired by the tides, the moon and the restorative power of the sea.
Set across Albany's Historic Whaling Station, the event combined contemporary dance, immersive soundscapes, video projections and Elizabeth Riley's suspended woven sculptures to explore the meeting of land and sea. Drawing inspiration from the Torndirrup coastline, the performance celebrated movement, memory and the enduring connection between people and the ocean.
Guests enjoyed local Great Southern wines while viewing the exhibition before experiencing the one-off performance in the Oil Tank Theatre. The evening concluded with a specially curated dining experience in the Whalers Galley, with a menu designed to complement the performance.
