About the Event

"There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society where none intrudes, By the deep Sea, and music in its roar." Byron

An intimate evening of dance, sculpture, and sound inspired by the tides, the moon, and the healing power of the sea. Performed by a trio of professional dancers with video projections, woven sculptures by Elizabeth Riley, and immersive soundscapes.

Drawing on the rhythms of the ocean and the beauty of the Torndirrup coastline, this sensory performance explores the space where land and sea meet in a celebration of movement, memory, and the sea’s restorative power.

Join us in the Historic Whaling Station Gallery for a glass of wine from our favourite local wineries whilst immersed in the suspended woven sculptures of Lizzie Riley, before wondering up to the oil tank theatre for the one-off performance of ‘Rapture’ a unique and richly layered sensory experience delivered through the interplay of movement, projection, and sound. Finish the evening in the Whalers Galley with a menu specifically paired to the performance.
