About the Event

As part of Taste Great Southern 2026, Middleton Beach hosted a vibrant showcase of the Great Southern's renowned food, wine and produce, bringing together local producers, chefs and wine lovers for a day of exceptional culinary experiences.

Festival-goers sampled premium wines, craft beverages and regional produce from some of the Great Southern's leading producers, while masterclasses hosted by sommeliers Cyndal Petty and Emma Farrelly offered opportunities to deepen their appreciation of the region's world-class wines. Throughout the day, local favourite Amy Hamilton (Liberté) was joined by visiting chefs Luke Foyle (Juanita's) and Guy Turland (The Bondi Chef), creating inventive dishes that celebrated the quality and diversity of local ingredients, with food journalist Max Veenhuyzen hosting the day's cooking demonstrations and festivities.

The event highlighted the strength of the Great Southern's food and wine industry, providing a relaxed beachfront setting for visitors and locals alike to experience the flavours that have made the region one of Australia's premier culinary destinations.
