About the Event
Albany Light Opera and Theatre Company marked more than six decades of local theatre with Through the Curtains, a weekend of music, memories and storytelling. Performers revisited treasured roles and memorable numbers from the company’s history, while former members reflected on the professional careers and lifelong passions fostered through their involvement. The program also offered a glimpse behind the scenes, sharing some of the humour and camaraderie that shaped the company over the years. A highlight was the premiere of The Bet, a short black-and-white film recreating the unlikely wager that led to the company’s beginnings in the early 1960s.
