A creative, multicultural and intergenerational project about personal connection and individual responses to place.

Bridging time, culture and generations, local community together with THEATRE 180 will share stories, insights and experiences about their connection to the landscape and special places that feature in the history of Albany and surrounds.

In the lead up to Albany 2026, there will be other smaller and self-contained projects involving the Albany community, the outcomes of which will contribute to the final production. These will include Albany Writers’ Monologues recorded for broadcast, workshops with local school students, oral history capture, performances at Recollections of War Museum and an exhibition of stories, art and photographs at Vancouver Arts Centre.

These projects will culminate in a bespoke CinePlay theatre production at Albany Entertainment Centre featuring cast, creatives, local ensembles and community connected to Albany. An expansive, epic and all-inclusive play about Albany which brings together stories of the heart.
